2009 RESOLUTION LOSE WEIGHT

This topic is all about new year resolution and losing weight. How many times have we all made a new year resolution and we fell off the bandwagon within a couple of weeks? If you have the desire to lose weight and you feel that losing weight will make you feel better, that losing weight will make you healthier, I appauld you and encourage you to stick with it.

Losing weight can be hard but it can also be easy. Remember that you will not lose all the weight you want overnight. You will not fit into that new outfit (or old outfit) hanging in your closet the next day.

Take it one day at a time, be reasonable with yourself and give yourself the time it will take to lose the amount of weight that you desire.

Don't starve yourself and don't feel guilty if you cheat here and there, just keep the mind frame that you will continue to do those things that will help you lose weight no matter how long it takes.

You may only want to lose 5 pounds which may come off faster than someone wanting to lose 50 pounds.
Keep in mind that it does not matter how much weight you want to lose, it matters that you have conditioned your mind to stick with your weight loss program and you will never give up.

Don't compare yourself to someone else and make that a determination on how quickly you should be losing weight.

We all have different bodies and lifestyles and that will be a factor in how quickly or slowly we lose weight. Once you find what works for you stick with it!

Keep positive people in your circle to talk to when you are feeling down. We all need that sometime.
Tips on increasing weight lose

* take the stairs not the elevator

* if you have a store nearby in your neighborhood, sometimes walk instead of driving

* put on your favorite music and dance (I like to dance in the mirror)

* while cooking do leg lifts

* while brushing your teeth do leg lifts and squats

* do you have stairs in your home or nearby? run or walk up and down a few times

* if you work at a desk stand up from time to time and stretch, bend, squat

* on your way home from work stop by a track perhaps at a school and walk around the track a few times before heading home (keep sneakers and a walkman in the car)

These are just a few tips that will hopefully encourage you on your venture to losing weight.
